What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is paying attention and being in the present. Being mindful is our capacity to be aware and our capacity to be present here and now, rather than being in the past or the future.

We can all learn to live mindfully. This we can achieve by learning the discipline of meditation and building up small daily practices.

We can use our body as a way to calming and stilling the mind. We can use our breath to bring us into the present.

Living mindfully and meditating can help us deal with anxiety, stress and fears. It can open our hearts to a more peaceful and grateful life.

BENEFITS OF LIVING MINDFULLY

Mindfulness practice can be highly effective in helping bring clarity and calm to our daily lives.

Mindfulness practice does not involve trying to change who we are, instead it is a practice of seeing clearly who we are.

Mindfulness can allow us to see the beauty of the world and appreciate life.

Mindfulness can help us rekindle our senses. Eating, walking, touching, seeing and smelling become alive again.
